Transit data

Live and scheduled transit data is supplied by Transport for NSW through the TfNSW Open Data Hub and used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence. Platform has modified the data: it combines, filters, reformats and labels it, and estimates some values such as predicted times and trip progress. Times are labelled live, predicted, from the timetable, stale or unavailable where Platform can tell. The data may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate, and neither Transport for NSW nor Platform guarantees it. See the terms of use and disclaimer.

Independence

Platform is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, certified by, or sponsored by Transport for NSW or the NSW Government. The use of Transport for NSW open data does not imply any official status.

Colours and marks

Platform uses official line and mode colours to identify services. Its network mark, roundels and letterforms are original work. Platform does not use Transport for NSW logos, pictograms or other trademarks. Trade marks remain the property of their owners.

Apple

Apple, iPhone, Apple Watch, Dynamic Island and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Platform is an independent app and is not endorsed by Apple.

Google and Android

Android and Google Play are trade marks of Google LLC. Platform is an independent app and is not endorsed by Google.

Maps

The Android app uses MapLibre with styles and tiles from CARTO. Interactive live-trip pages use MapLibre GL JS with vector tiles from OpenFreeMap. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and is shown with the required attribution. The iPhone and iPad app uses Apple Maps.

OpenStreetMap

Carriage hints and some place search results use data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. Platform derives the carriage hints from tags on platform data and may publish that derived table under the same licence. Hints are a guide, not live data. OpenStreetMap does not endorse Platform.

Type

This site self-hosts Manrope, Hanken Grotesk, Barlow Semi Condensed, Public Sans and Sometype Mono, each under the SIL Open Font License. Font assets are self-hosted.

This website

Homepage animation uses Motion and the LottieFiles runtime. The 3D phone uses Three.js. Chart animation adapts Bklit UI; the pointer field adapts Kokonut UI. Both adaptations use MIT-licensed code. The theme cord is an independent implementation inspired by FeralUI.
