Platform puts Sydney trains, metro, buses, ferries and light rail on one map. Check a departure, plan a journey and follow it as you travel. Each time tells you whether it is live, predicted, from the timetable, stale or unavailable.

Stop 01 — CENTRAL · Interchange

See Sydney public transport on one map.

Trains, metro, buses, ferries and light rail use the same map, with familiar line and mode colours.

Fresh vehicle positions appear when Transport for NSW publishes them. Tap one for the run and next stop, or tap a station, wharf or stop for departures. If a position stops updating, Platform shows its age instead of calling it live.

Stop 02 — BRD

Check what leaves next.

Open a station, wharf or stop for its next services. At stations, you can narrow the board to one platform.

Each time is labelled Live, Predicted or Timetable, with stale and unavailable states shown plainly. A missing delay is left blank rather than turned into ‘On time’.

Stop 03 — TRK

Plan a trip and follow it after you leave.

Choose an origin and destination, compare the routes, then start the one you want. Platform keeps the walk to the stop, each service, each change and the final walk in one journey.

Your phone uses its location to move the journey forward. If fresh vehicle data disappears, Platform keeps the last trustworthy state or uses the timetable and labels the change. The beta can offer another service after a missed connection.

Stop 04 — NOW

Keep the active trip close.

On iPhone, a Live Activity can show the next departure and next stop on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. A Home Screen widget can show a saved trip.

Apple Watch mirrors the journey and can tap your wrist before an interchange or your stop. On Android, an ongoing notification and a journey widget keep the active trip available. These beta surfaces keep the same source labels as the app.

Stop 05 — SRC

A live time and a timetable time are not the same thing.

Platform keeps fresh vehicle data, a prediction and the timetable separate. Stale and unavailable data have their own labels.

Stop 06 — MY TRIPS

Save a trip and come back to it.

Completed-trip history stays on your phone for 90 days. It records the origin, destination and planned services, not a GPS trace. You can delete one trip or clear the history.

Saved trips stay on Android devices. On Apple devices, they can sync through your iCloud account. The iPhone beta can also suggest a repeated saved trip. That setting is off by default, and a suggestion only fills the planner.

Stop 07 — PRV

No account, no ads and no location in a shared trip.

Active journey tracking uses your location on the device. On Android, the Nearby screen sends your current coordinates to Platform for that lookup; the server does not retain them.

Trip links are available in the beta. A link uploads a revocable snapshot with planned stops, progress and timing. It never includes your GPS position, device ID or vehicle ID. The link expires after eight hours.
